Dundalk natives Just Mustard return with their second studio album ‘Heart Under’ and it is a deep dark dive into an introspective vision quest. Ok that sounds a little off putting but this must be their most personal and heaviest sounding release so far.
Described in the past as everything from noise rock to shoegaze, there is a refined sound to their latest album ‘Heart Under’ that just hasn’t been there in the past and it is powerful stuff. At times almost sounding like a wall of noise but at no point feeling overwhelming, it is quite the talent.
If you like you’re Pixies or Sonic Youth style stuff then you must already be listening to Just Mustard but if you are looking for something new that’s along those lines then ‘Heart Under’ is the perfect pick to pop on on your record player this week.
