Belfast born, London based electronic duo of Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar bring us Isles- the follow up to their successful self-titled debut album. Recorded over a two-year period before it’s release in January. The album made it’s debut at number two in the UK chart.
What Bicep do so well is create soundscapes and what makes them amazing is that they let us, the listener, join them from beginning to end on those journeys. Every track on Isles evolves from a simple beat into a full wall of joyful noise, with some beautifully haunting vocals this album is just a pleasure from start to finish.
This is just an instant dance classic for all those late nights, but what makes this album so good is it’s diversity, so much so that I think when the summer hits, Isles is a great one to throw on in the background while we have those evening drinks and chill with some great tunes.
