Bennett & Gaga return for their second collaborative studio album, Love For Sale, which is Bennett’s sixty first studio album. The album is a selection of Jazz standards by celebrated composer Cole Porter to whom the album is dedicated. Gaga and Bennetts’ voices work surprisingly well together with the smooth classic lyrics suiting both their musical styles.
Love For Sale is the follow up to the shock hit that was 2014’s Cheek to Cheek, their first collab racking up a Grammy for the pair and reaching number 1 on the Billboard chart. The thing that works so well is definitely the chemistry between the two artists; it’s almost as if two friends have gotten together for a sing song. The only difference being that the two friends happen to be two of the world’s largest recording artists.
This is one for the fans of easy listening or jazz, with both performers reeling off these standards which we will all recognize. There is a silky smoothness to Love For Sale that just makes you want to tap your feet.
